Current welcome offer

Earn 150,000 bonus miles once you spend $30,000 in the first 3 months from account opening

My Take

We don't currently hold the Capital One Venture X Business card — but it's one I'd open in a heartbeat if our expenses could support the minimum spend requirement. And that's actually the most important thing to understand about this card upfront.

The $30,000 spend in 3 months is a serious requirement. That's $10,000 per month — which is very achievable for some business owners and completely out of reach for others. Be honest with yourself before applying. The welcome offer is exceptional, but only if you can hit it naturally without manufacturing spend.

There's another nuance worth knowing: this card has a flexible spending limit that adjusts based on your payment history and usage patterns. Unlike a traditional card with a set limit, Capital One's algorithm determines what you can spend in real time. In practice this means you may not be able to make large purchases right out of the gate — the limit often starts conservatively and grows as you demonstrate responsible usage. This is worth factoring in if you're planning to front-load big business expenses to hit the welcome offer quickly.

That said — for the right business owner, this card is a powerhouse. The earning structure is beautifully simple: 2x miles on everything. No categories to track, no rotating bonuses, no thinking. Just put your business spending on it and earn miles on every dollar.

The lounge access is also genuinely compelling. The Venture X Business includes access to Capital One Lounges plus Priority Pass — and unlike the personal Venture X which recently introduced guest fees, the business version currently allows two complimentary guests per visit in Priority Pass lounges. For a business owner who travels with clients or a spouse, that's a meaningful difference.

The annual fee math also works out well: the $395 fee is offset by a $300 annual travel credit and 10,000 anniversary bonus miles worth $100 — effectively making the card free to hold if you use those two benefits. Sound familiar? It's the same structure as the personal Venture X, which I love for exactly that reason.

Offer History

The standard welcome offer on the Capital One Venture X Business is 150,000 miles after spending $30,000 in the first 3 months — worth $1,500 in travel at a minimum and significantly more when transferred to airline and hotel partners.
This is a high spend requirement and the offer doesn't come around in elevated versions as frequently as some other cards. If you have the business expenses to support it, the current offer is worth acting on.

One important note: this card must be paid in full each month. It is not a traditional revolving credit card — it functions more like a charge card with a flexible spending limit. Make sure your cash flow supports full monthly payments before applying.
