Capital One Savor Cash Rewards Credit Card

Annual fee: $0

Current welcome offer

Earn $200 Cash Back after you spend $500 on purchases within 3 months from account opening

My Take

This is a strong pick if dining, groceries, and entertainment make up a good chunk of your monthly spending. Unlimited 3% back at the grocery store (just watch out — Walmart and Target don't count) plus dining, entertainment, and streaming is a solid everyday rate, and pairing it with 5% on Capital One Travel bookings and 8% on Capital One Entertainment makes it even more rewarding if you already use those platforms.

The catch is that everything outside those categories only earns 1%, so it works best as a complement to another card rather than your only one. For a no-annual-fee card, though, it's hard to find much to complain about — no rotating categories to remember, no caps to track, and the cash back never expires.

Is This Card Right For You?

✓ Best for

Families who spend heavily on groceries, dining out, and streaming subscriptions

Anyone who wants bonus-category cash back without an annual fee

Those who book through Capital One Travel or Capital One Entertainment and want the higher rates there

✗ Not ideal for

Big spenders outside the bonus categories, who'll only earn 1% on everyday non-grocery/dining purchases

Those who spend a lot at superstores like Walmart or Target for groceries, since those are excluded from the 3% rate

Shoppers chasing travel points instead of straight cash back

Offer History

The Savor's welcome bonus has mostly held at $200 after $500 spend within 3 months since late 2020 (it briefly required $1,000 in spend for a few months in 2023, then dropped back to $500). Capital One has occasionally run a $250 version of the bonus for limited stretches — most recently around October–December 2024, and again briefly in mid-2026 — before reverting to the standard $200. There was also a short-lived period in late 2025 when Capital One layered on an extra $100 Capital One Travel credit during the first cardholder year, similar to what they did with the Quicksilver. If you see the offer above $200 or with an added Travel credit attached, that's an elevated version worth calling out.
