This Month’s Transfer Bonuses
A transfer bonus is a limited-time deal where a bank gives you extra miles or points when you move your credit card points to one of its airline or hotel partners. A 25% bonus means 40,000 points become 50,000. It’s like a sale on award travel!
I keep this list updated so you can check it at a glance before you plan your next family trip.
One important rule before you transfer: transfers are one-way, so you CAN’T move points back once they’re sent. Always check that award space is available for your exact dates first, and only transfer when you have a real trip in mind.

My Favorites This Month
- Chase → Marriott (70%) is a BIG one for families. Marriott has so many suite-style brands like Residence Inn and SpringHill Suites with room for the whole crew, and this bonus turns 30,000 Chase points into 51,000 Marriott points. Just make sure the hotel you want prices well in points first, because Marriott isn’t usually where I’d send Chase points without a bonus.
- Capital One → British Airways (20%) is a great way to book American Airlines flights for fewer points, including short domestic routes and trips to Hawaii.
- Citi or Rove → Japan Airlines (30–50%) is worth a look if Japan is on your list. Our family flew Japan Airlines home from Tokyo, and the kids still talk about it!
