How to Stack the Chase Sapphire Reserve Hotel Credits

If you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve® or the Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠, 2026 is genuinely one of the best years to maximize your hotel benefits — but only if you know where to look. The problem isn’t the credits. The problem is finding hotels that qualify for both of them at the same time.

That’s exactly what this guide is for. Below you’ll find a searchable, filterable table of properties confirmed to qualify for both the $250 Edit Collection credit and the $250 Select Hotels credit (a 2026 only benefit) — giving you the ability to stack up to $500 off a single two-night stay. Add in the $300 annual travel credit and you’re looking at up to $800 in potential savings on one 2 night trip.

Important: The $250 Select Hotels credit is a 2026-only benefit — it expires December 31, 2026. Always verify a property is showing The Edit badge in Chase Travel before booking, as hotel eligibility can change. This table is a starting point, not a guarantee. Check Chase Travel directly to confirm.

Understanding the Stack: What Credits Are We Talking About?

The $500 Double Stack (most common):
$250 Edit Collection credit + $250 Select Hotels credit = $500 off one 2-night stay

The $800 Triple Stack (if you haven’t used your travel credit):
$250 Edit + $250 Select Hotels + $300 travel credit applied to same booking = Up to $800 in combined statement credits on one trip
Note: Your $300 travel credit resets on your card anniversary date, not January 1st. Timing matters.

Which brands qualify for the Select Hotels credit?

To stack both credits, a hotel must appear in The Edit Collection and belong to one of these seven partner brands:

  • IHG Hotels & Resorts
  • Kimpton Hotels (IHG)
  • Omni Hotels & Resorts
  • Montage Hotels & Resorts
  • Pendry Hotels & Resorts
  • Minor Hotels
  • Pan Pacific Hotels
  • Virgin Hotels

How to Verify Any Property Yourself

This table is a strong starting point, but Chase’s hotel eligibility changes over time. Before booking, always confirm directly in Chase Travel using these steps:

  1. Log in to Chase.com and navigate to Chase Travel → Stays. Enter your destination and select a 2-night minimum stay date range.
  2. In the search results, look for the small “The Edit” logo next to the hotel name. If this badge is missing, the $250 Edit credit will not apply — even if the hotel is part of an eligible brand.
  3. Click into the hotel and look for “The Edit Benefits” section. This confirms breakfast, property credit, and other perks are included for your stay.
  4. Select a Prepaid rate. Pay-at-property rates do not trigger the credits. Look for refundable prepaid options if flexibility matters to you.
  5. At checkout, verify that both credits appear as available to apply — the Edit credit and the Select Hotels credit. You should see them listed before you complete the booking.
  6. Do not apply points to the entire booking and pay $0 cash. You must charge at least the amount of the credit(s) to your card — otherwise there’s no charge for Chase to offset. You’ll have to adjust the amount of points used until the out of pocket cost is at or just over $500. Pay only the credit amount in cash and use points via Points Boost for the remainder if desired.

Pro tip: If a hotel from an eligible brand (like an InterContinental or Kimpton) isn’t showing up in your search, try searching by the hotel’s exact name rather than by city. The Chase Travel search function can omit eligible properties when browsing by destination.

The Rules You Need to Know Before You Book

To trigger the Edit Collection credit:

  • Must be a prepaid booking of at least 2 consecutive nights through Chase Travel
  • Must pay with your Chase Sapphire Reserve® or Sapphire Reserve for Business℠
  • Credit applies up to $250 per transaction, up to $500 total per year across two separate stays
  • Both $250 credits can be used at any time in 2026 and can be used on back to back stays — no longer semi-annual
  • The portion covered by the credit and any additional out of pocket cost on these bookings do not earn Ultimate Rewards points

To trigger the Select Hotels credit (2026 only):

  • Must be a prepaid booking of at least 2 consecutive nights at an eligible brand through Chase Travel
  • Available just once — up to $250 total for all of 2026
  • Expires December 31, 2026 — use it or lose it
  • You do earn hotel loyalty points and elite night credits with the brand for the full stay value
  • Total booking must be at least $500 for both the $250 Edit and $250 Select Hotels credit to apply in full
Cancel carefully: If you cancel a prepaid reservation, the statement credits will be reversed. Be confident in your plans before booking, especially with the Select Hotels credit since it’s a one-time benefit.

Searchable Table: Hotels That Qualify for Both Credits

Search by hotel name, city, country, or brand. Filter by region or brand group. Click any column header to sort. This is a curated starter list — always verify in Chase Travel before booking.

Making the Most of What's Left After Credits

After your $500 in credits apply, you may still have a remaining balance. That's where Chase's Points Boost feature comes in. When booking an Edit property through Chase Travel, you can pay any remaining cost with Ultimate Rewards points at an enhanced rate — generally between 1.65x and 2x value per point.

For example: if your 2-night stay costs $700 and you apply $500 in credits, your remaining $200 can potentially be covered with around 10,000–12,000 points instead of $200 cash. Add the on-property perks — daily breakfast for 2, a $100–$150 property credit, room upgrade priority — and a stay that listed for $700 could effectively cost you very little out of pocket.

Welcome Friends!

Hi! I’m Kim — mom of three boys and wife to one husband. After years of using credit card points and miles to visit family and take trips we couldn’t otherwise afford, I turned my obsession with a good deal into helping other parents do the same. I love Jesus, family travel, and using points to make Disney trips (and snacks shaped like characters) way more affordable.
