A Comprehensive Guide the Capital One Venture X Transfer Partners
The Capital One Venture X is a premium travel credit card that offers a variety of benefits and rewards to its users. In all honesty, it’s my favorite travel rewards card of the 20+ cards I have open. One of the most exciting features of the Capital One Venture X is its ability to transfer points to a variety of transfer partners. In this blog post, we’ll explore the Capital One Venture X and its transfer partners in detail.

When you transfer your Capital One miles to one of the transfer partners, you can then use those miles to book travel through the partner’s loyalty program using their own award chart. This gives you more flexibility and options when it comes to booking travel, and can help you to get more value for your points. I’ll show you some examples in just a minute…
How to Transfer Your Capital One Points
Transferring Capital One miles is a pretty straightforward process. To get started, open the app and log in to your Capital One account. Once logged in, scroll down to the rewards section where it says “Explore Rewards & Benefits.
Then select the option for “Convert rewards.”
You will be presented with a list of transfer partners, including various airlines and hotel loyalty programs.
Choose the partner you want to transfer your points to, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer. Ensure that you have the necessary account details for the selected partner, such as frequent flyer or loyalty program information. After confirming the transfer, your Capital One rewards points will be converted into the partner’s currency, making it possible to book flights, accommodations, or other travel-related expenses with your preferred partner. Just keep in mind that once you make this transfer it cannot be undone so be sure to confirm availability with each program before moving your points!
Why You Should Transfer your Capital One Points
Capital One is known for their travel purchase eraser feature which allows you to “erase” purchases that code as travel using the miles you’ve accumulated through welcome bonuses and spending. If you use your miles this way you’ll get a value of 1 cent per point for your miles. For example, to erase a $100 travel purchase you would need 10,000 Venture miles. This is a great option for covering the cost of something like Disney tickets since they usually can’t be bought directly with points.
However, there is so much more value to be found by transferring your points to one of the travel partners mentioned above!
My Favorite Ways to Redeem Capital One Miles
During our trip to Hawaii in 2022 we took advantage of two Capital One transfer sweet spots. We transferred miles to Turkish Airlines to book flights on United for just 15,000 points per person round trip and we transferred miles to Wyndham where we were able to book a Vacasa vacation rental for just 15,000 points per night!
If we had booked our flights directly with United and used the purchase eraser feature, it would have cost us close to 100,000 miles per person instead of 15,000 per person! And if we had paid for the vacation rental with our Venture X card it would have cost us around 40,000 miles per night to erase that charge.
Because both Turkish Airlines and Wyndham use an award chart that is not based on the cash price, we were able to secure some amazing deals. Transferring points is definitely the way to go!
Bottom Line
The Capital One Venture X is a great travel credit card for anyone looking for a card that offers flexible rewards and a variety of transfer partners. With transfer options to airlines and hotels you can use your Capital One miles to book travel and earn rewards in a variety of ways. Whether you just want to use the travel eraser feature or you want to take your redemptions to the next level by transferring them, you are sure to get excellent value from Capital One miles!
