Last week our family spent 5 nights at the recently opened Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana all-inclusive resort. I’m just going to go all in with the cheese and say, it was a “dream!” Really! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The staff, the food, the entertainment, the beach, the pools… all of it was beyond what we expected. And now that we’re back I wanted to share more about our experience for anyone considering a vacation at this Dreams Resort location by putting together a Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana review.
One of best ways to make traveling with kids less of a hassle, is to be prepared for airport security. Between the large crowds, the juggling of all the gear, and the wrangling of all those kids…
If you know Florida weather, you know that you will almost definitely encounter a rain shower or two during your Disney vacation. The good news is that Disney World in the rain is still Disney World, and there is still plenty of fun to be had even if you get a little wet in the process.
Our most recent visit to Disney World just happened to be smack dab in the middle of Hurricane Eta. While it ended up not being the complete catastrophe I expected it to be, we definitely had our fair share of downpours that week. And as I was navigating the park with 3 kids in the rain I knew I had to write a post when I got home for anyone who is planning a trip and wondering, “what do you do at Magic Kingdom when it rains?”
If you’ve stumbled upon this post you likely have a family trip to Disney World scheduled this year and you’re starting to think about what you’re all going to wear (mom, check out this post just for you). Maybe you’re thinking about that photo you’re going to take in front of the castle and you want to get everyone’s outfits just right. Or maybe you want matching shirts for every day of your trip. Because did you even go to Disney World if you didn’t at some point wear matching Disney family shirts? I think not.
As the seasons change I like to change out the wreath hanging on my door and I almost always use a metal wreath hanger. But this Christmas I ended up having 2 wreaths that I wanted to hang, and for the life of me, I could not find our second metal hanger anywhere in storage! So instead of leaving the house, I started to research ways to hang a wreath on a door without a metal hanger. As it turned out, I already had everything I needed so it cost me nothing! So if you’re looking for ways to hang a wreath without damaging your door, here’s my new trick on how to hang a wreath with ribbon!
You’ve made lists, gone shopping, made dining reservations, purchased discounted Disney gift card and packed your Mickey ears. But no matter how well you plan there will always be unexpected expenses that pop up on your trip that you may not have budgeted for. So my hope is that this list of unexpected expenses on your Walt Disney World vacation will help you to be ready for anything that comes your way, making for a more enjoyable, stress free time!
Last year my son was adamant that he was going to be a “scary zombie” for Halloween. Keep in mind that I had already bought 6 costumes on clearance at Target the previous year during after-Halloween sales just to avoid overspending and the last minute rush before Halloween the following year (See my post on how I save money on just about everything to read more about after holiday Target clearance). But thankfully a zombie costume is one of the easiest costumes to DIY. Here’s how to make a zombie costume for kids with things you probably already have around the house.
